Why Sunbathing & Vitamin D Are Essential for Women’s Health ☀️
Soaking up the sun isn’t just about relaxation—it’s essential for women’s health, especially during perimenopause and post-menopause.
Why? Because Vitamin D, known as the “sunshine vitamin,” plays a crucial role in:
✔️ Bone health – Helps calcium absorption, reducing the risk of osteoporosis.
✔️ Mood & mental health – Supports serotonin production, boosting happiness.
✔️ Immune function – Helps fight inflammation and disease.
Many women become Vitamin D deficient as they age, which can lead to weaker bones, fatigue, and even depression. Tenerife’s sunshine is the perfect natural remedy! 🌞
How to get enough Vitamin D?
- Spend 15-30 minutes in the sun daily (without sunscreen for the first 10-15 minutes).
- Eat Vitamin D-rich foods like salmon, eggs, and fortified dairy.
- Consider a supplement if you have limited sun exposure.
